This back unit required basic interior paint, new floor, gold glitter ceiling and a restoration of the kitchen and bathroom.

Kitchen
The lower cabinets were shot due to plumbing leak issues. But the upper Youngstown cabinets were in great shape. A new L shaped countertop allowed more working space. The counters were the grey colored Sputnick design by Raymond Lowey that Formica reissued for a short period of time. we are grateful we got them when we could!
BEFORE AFTER
We were also able to salvage all of the original boomerang chrome handles!
Bath
The Bathroom was a major tile job with salvaged beige tiles which we accented with black trim for a very 1950’s feeling. The free floating sink was salvaged from a soon-to-be-demolished 1960s building.

Bedrooms
Between two of the bedrooms was this strange movable wall on wheels. We replaced this with a more standard 1960s style folding plastic screen. Otherwise the bedrooms simply required paint and flooring.
